For the love of reading
This morning the students filled out book recommendations for their fellow classmates. I divided the recommendations into fiction and nonfiction categories and put them into a flip-n-tell on top of a low sitting shelf in the classroom library. So now when students shop for books, they can flip through the recommendations and see if there's a book that sounds interesting enough to read.

Xtra Math
We used the laptop cart to log into extra math and take the initial assessment quiz. Students may now get on xtra math for math practice at home. This website is a choice for math homework.

New Math Words
We learned 5 new math words today! Some were new words and others were old words. Talk to your student about the new math words we learned. We also added them to the math word wall.
Add, Addend, Sum, Communtative Property, and Identity Property.
We earned a compliment!
We earned a compliment from Dr. Hamby today for walking quietly in the hallway to lunch today! We love getting recognition for our hard work!
